Statement of Affairs

Being non-denominational, the basis of faith of GTP as a church is the whole counsel of God as revealed in the Holy scriptures including:

  1. The unity of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead. Luke 3:22 and Mathew 28:19 and 20.
  2. The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and judgment. Genesis 1:1 and 26, John 1:1-3, Genesis 21:33, Deuteronomy 6:4, John 3:16, Titus 3:4-6, Romans 14:10, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:11, 21:1-4.
  3. The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Holy scriptures as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. 2 Peter 1:20 and 21, 2 Timothy 3:16, Psalms 119:11 and 105 and John 20:31.
  4. The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall rendering them subject of God’s wrath, and condemnation, without respect of persons and without discrimination on account of race, nationality, colour, social position or otherwise. Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12
  5. Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God. Romans 3:23-25, 5:8-10 and 2 Corinthians 5:21.
  6. The bodily resurrection of the Holy Son, Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father. Matthew 28:6, Acts 3:3-15 and Romans 1:3 and 4, Acts 1:9 and 11, Philippians 2:9-11 and Hebrews 1:3.
  7. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration. John 3:3-6, 1 Peter 1:23 and Acts 2:37-38.
  8. The justification of the individual by the Grace of God through faith alone. Galatians 2:16, Romans 5:1.
  9. The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer. Acts 2:38, 1:4-5, Ephesians 5:18, Acts 2:4, 10:44-46 and 19:6
  10. The one and universal church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong. Ephesians 2:19-22 and 1 Peter 2:5
  11. The expectation of the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and Titus 2:13.
